The power of social media is so huge and affects just about every aspect of a company. Today, people live in a time of “now-ism” and micro-blogging, and they get their news and updates instantly. Communication is now a two-way street between your consumer and your business. This conversation allows you to know exactly what your fans want from your company, what they expect and, sometimes, what they’re not happy with. It can be intimidating, and for some CEOs, the tendency may be to fight it. It’s imperative that you understand how much power the customer holds with these platforms and that your business embraces social media and leverages it to the best of your abilities. Make sure there is a social media strategy and make sure it is consistent across the various channels of your business. For businesses that are social media savvy, the sky is the limit.
