Watch out, Groupon. Glenn Beck watchers have been theorizing over Beck's next move since it was announced he and Fox News would be parting ways this year. On Monday, his company, Mercury Radio Arts, revealed a surprising project to kick-off Beck's post-Fox career: Markdown.com, a discount deals site with the tagline "Value and Values.""Sure, we care about revenue and profit, but we care about honesty and integrity just as much," the site explains. "We believe in value, but we also believe in values -- the idea that we should be guided by a set of principles that transcends money."
Markdown.com will offer one or two deals per week. Its first week deals are $10 for $20 worth of chocolates at Chocolate.com ("Glenn loves food and can really get behind the product," Markdown's president and only employee Keith Ferry told Business Insider), and a 55 percent discount on a credit score product from identity theft protection service Lifelock.
"As a small-business owner myself, I understand the daily challenges that entrepreneurs face and how frustrating it can be to get well-deserved attention for a great product or service," Beck said in a statement. "With Markdown.com we will be able to feature these great local and regional businesses right alongside some of the most well-known brands in America."
Ferry confirmed that Markdown could become a platform for smaller businesses that might be a fit with Beck's fans, while noting that their intention is to turn Markdown.com into a "really big business."
According to New York magazine, Beck's earned most of his income outside of Fox News -- his existing businesses, including publications, websites and speaking tours, contributed 90 percent to his reported $40 million income in 2010.

I a neither right nor left. I look for what will further the greatest good.
Some philosophy, but not too deep:
I have watched Glenn Beck, with an open mind. I discovered that his facts and charts and so on were very convincing until I checked the data for myself by going to websites which provide the hard data. He altered things. It was not a lie out right but a distortion of the truth. He slightly changed things and came to conclusions based upon facts which the facts did not fully substantiate. It was a little bit subtle and it took a little looking and figuring things out. Glenn made it seem that he was right, but, when I studied the area for myself, I realized he was NOT right.
I also do not like the emotionality of his presentations. He sells the idea of hating and the concept that there is black and white: He shows things as either good (agree with him) or bad (do not agree with him.) I believe that things are far more nuanced. There is not just right and wrong or good and bad. There are shades of grey in between. This idea of things being 100 percent good and bad is a dangerous one because it can stop a person from actually observing what is going on and weighing and balancing things to find the most positive path to take. It is easy to avoid looking and thinking and to just say, "All that is Republican is good and all that is Democratic is bad." However, this is NOT the case in actuality. Looking at things as black and white only is a way to dumb everyone down so they will follow what their leaders say --like sheep will follow a dog even if the dog leads them to slaughter! The dog is certain of himself. So, are people such as Glenn Beck. We follow him.
I am glad he is stepping down from Fox. He is doing this coupon business and I wish him well. I predict that he has political aspirations, and he may be gathering funds and so on in order to run for office. I thought of a Sarah Palin/ Glenn Beck ticket. It would be quite amazing. I know there are some who would find it humorous. I believe it would be very interesting, however, I also am concerned that it would signify the END of the Republican Party!
I want to caution people who are progressive or liberal that hating Glenn Beck is falling into His way of looking at things. Hatred solves nothing. Name calling is not helpful. I believe that I want a world where there is no war, no injustice, no allowing the greedy to hurt the rest of us. I want a world where there is good health and the door is open for everyone to pursue happiness and to achieve their goals iin life. If Glenn Beck's ideas do not forward this sort of thing, I reject them and pour my energy into those people and groups that forward them. It is a waste of energy to attack and hate those whose ideas oppose mine.
I get a kick out of Glenn Beck's detractors. I will admit he is verbose and very preachy, but if you ever listened to him, and watched, and listened to the SUBSTANCE of what he teaches you might learn something. I have not met a liberal yet who could answer most of what Glenn Beck teaches. He is not a prophet, he is a believer. Love him or hate him, if you can not find a reason other than his presence on TV and his way of doing things then he must be RIGHT!
I'm hoping Glenn Beck becomes the next Reverend Jim Jones and finds his own Guyana where he and his people (Zipp, Anniesez, Crnkbt, Wwwatssup, Deanaper, Ron, Larry, Moe, Curly, Snookie, Bristol, Tripp, Dip & Stick) can live in a lily-white world where everyone pulls himself up by his own bootstraps and no one ever has to (gasp!) cash a Social Security check.
Just think, your own Glennagain's Island! With Rush Limbaugh as The Skipper, Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin as Ginger & Mary Ann (since Republicans somehow find those two nitwits attractive) and The Donald as Thurston Howell III. You won't need a professor, of course, since science is not really your thing.
Now for the other members of the flock: Zipp, your job will be to teach all the KKKids how to spell. Wwwatssup, you'll be in charge of "uncomforting the opposition" ~ whatever the heck that means.
Oh, and be sure to build a theme park, but one that's historically accurate (you know, with cavemen riding dinosaurs!)
I, for one, DID watch Beck as much as I could without going totally insane. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. After a while I came to believe that by placing Beck in that 5:00 time slot, FOX News was paving the way for their other nutbags. With The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity, Huckabee and the various vacuous vamps such as Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham and all the others among their interchangeable cast of clueless floozies, FOX put Beck first in order to make all who followed seem, well, slightly less cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
If I remember correctly last year Beck was implying to his viewers that the US dollar was going to crash and that they should buy gold as a safe harbor. He would then recommend a company, that he fronted for, to buy the gold from. Go to find out the company charged a 17% add on commission to the purchase price. I don't know if you also paid a commission on the back end but I would not doubt it. Based on the above I would not trust him. He may be legal, but that does not mean he is ethical or moral in his dealings and business transactions. But this is just my view.
Arguing With Idiots, read it nay sayers, you won't, the truth hurts, but the sun always makes the cockroaches scurry, like fukaol, run little roach, run!
You people who think Glenn Beck is a liar are probably the same ones who think that Obama tells the truth. Now there is a liar for you. If you watched Glenn Beck all the time you would know that he is not a liar. Everything he said 2 years ago is coming to pass. If you're going to call him a liar, lets have an example. He is a true believer in history repeating itself, and it's happening. The Fox News Network is the only one I watch because they don't spin the truth. If you want the truth. Glenn is your guy. Wake up.
Beck believes in a religion that is so bizaar and cult like, that they defy common reason. Kind of like him I guess. He's a mormon a stinking religion that Belives that there were two gold plates found somewhere in the New England states (they cant agree on just where) that said that Joseph Smith was thier Leader (He was later murdered but the cause was taken up by someone named Brigham Young (or should we call him Friggem Young) Anyway they rode out to Utah and began a long tradition of Poligamy (multiple wives often even mounting thier own Daughters, No matter how hard the local authorities try they just cant seem to stamp out this Plague. There is also something in this cesspool of strangeness that says That Jesus of Nazerith was here in N. America along with other saints that were roaming around (this is tha Latter Day saints thing in thier name. No one knows just where those magical plates disapeared to. Maybe Jesus took them with him.Or maybe they went the way of the Ten Commandments. J. Copeland Boca Raton FL. (Atheist)
Oh! I forgot to mention that Mitt Romney is also a card carrying member of The Mormon Cult. So he must als be a Moron kind of like Beck. J. Copeland Boca Raton (Atheist)
