A A ASprint is hoping to position itself as a leader in the small-business space, by offering discounts on its products and services through exclusive partnerships with organizations that work with business owners.
In a statement released Wednesday, Sprint announced new partnerships with the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Association of Small Business Development Centers and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. According to the statement, these three organizations collectively represent the interests of more than 2 million small businesses in the United States. Through the partnership, Sprint will discount its products and services, which the organizations will be able to pass on to its members, and incentivize small-business owners to join. The organizations will receive discounts on corporate-billed voice and data services and on phones and accessories. Sprint will also provide sales support on any wireless service offerings.
"Affinity programs like these make a difference for our members," C.E. "Tee" Rowe, president and CEO of the Association of Small Business Development Centers, said in the statement. The partnerships are part of an overall campaign by Sprint aimed at helping small-business owners to switch from their local phone provider or cable operator.
