A A AStarting your own business is a noble -- not to mention exciting, rewarding and often crazy -- undertaking. The experience is an adventure, to say the least, and no two entrepreneurial paths are exactly the same, whether they result in fame and fortune or just a few hard knocks.
There are an estimated 27 million small businesses in the United States. And 27 Million and Counting is our attempt to capture as many of these unique, only-in-America success stories as we can. The premise is simple -- we give entrepreneurs 60 seconds to share their stories, in their own words. We hope they will inspire, inform and maybe make you laugh. This is Cori's story.

Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door. Remember the RonCo pocket fisherman? Best of luck.
I went to score a number of years ago to get info on how to start a business. I had an idea for a toy with book, etc. I have a disability. When I told the SCORE volunteer I did not know what some of the business terms he was using meant he told me, "Well, I think you should just say you have the disability and tried to do this business but it didn't work" I never tried SCORE again figuring if this was the type of advice they gave what is the point?
