Busy Breathers is just such an excellent idea. My mother was on oxygen for the last five years of her life and until she became wheelchair bound she could have used an oxygen back pack. Only people with a family member, or people in the medical field can really appreciate the brilliance behind this invention. I hope Michelle is wildly successful!

Thankfully I don't have a family member on oxygen but I think this is a great invention for those who are.
I don't see the difference between busy breathers and an ordinary backpack except for the hole on the side for the tube..and MAYBE the netting..which I've seen some ordinary backpack have. So for a side hole and some netting..she has a million dollare invention??? I don't get it.
Look at my comments below......
msg,
I can tell you don't understand the invention because you do not carry oxygen or understand what it entails. That's ok; we can't all understand everything but I'll explain. The oxygen tank that can be carried in this bag is very bulky but it's important that it doesn't move around a lot. The bags that are provided by the oxygen company are made of very thin material and the straps break all the time. This bag has a compartment sleeve for the oxygen to be secured and the grommet hole is perfect for the tubing. It's a bag that will not wear out from use as will a regular backpack; unless you get the higher end kind that costs 70 to 85 dollars. This is a great bag because it will also hold many things you would need for being out on the go.
Instead of giving her $80 bucks, go to a Walmart store and buy a backpack for $15-20. Then go to the oxygen supply store and get a tank and the mask. Hook it up and wow, look at all the dough you saved!
Uh....Bob; did you actually look at the article or were you too special to notice that a person DOES use this bag with oxygen that is a Rx....you need to actually pay attention to it. In fact; Michelle has a business that oxygen companies such as Lincare are actually using. And if you've actually used oxygen then you would know that the materials that the other bags are using are flimsy and the bags poorly put together. Michelle designed a much better bag for everyday use and can be used later after you are off oxygen if you get to.
It's a rip off scam.
If you need O2 most insurance Companies will give you the rank, gauges, regulator and other needed items and it can be carried is a purse sized foam padded pack.
The lady next door to me has had one for the last 7 years.
This is nothing new.
Some others use an outdoor butt pack

THAT's got to be embarrassing. Have your business featured in a prominent online article while at the same time being out of your product. I went to the website, and it said they are out of stock.
This is all BS.
I just spoke to the lady next door.
She told me if you need O2 then you need a doctors note then take that to your pharmacy.
They give you everything you need but you have to put a deposit on the small aluminum tank and regulator.
The purse type carrying bag can be configured to be used as a very small back pack or a butt pack.
Not to many people today are running out dropping that kind of money on some cheap material to carry an O2 tank.
As a former parachute rigger, I may as well jump in on this big money maker.
I don't like the Woman because she seems to have more interest in thr money then the people needing O2 to survive

Is there any concern by the manufacturer about putting a high pressure oxygen tank in a backpack container? I hope that the backpack was put through a risk assessment analysis to determine the risk of having an oxygen cylinder in a closed (mostly) environment.
Ok Bob; did you actaully watch this video? She did not say she is selling oxygen; she designed a better oxygen carrying system. And this IS used by some oxygen companies such as Lincare! As for the other bags that they give you; they are flimsy and unreliable. As anyone knows that has to carry oxygen; it's big and bulky and very heavy. This bag is the all around bag to carry many things so that your hands are free to do whatever without having to keep pulling up your oxygen strap or carry a purse or diaper bag. You need to get your facts straight. I know Michelle and she is a wonderful person who has given over 50 bags away in the short time she's been in business. She designed it with the persons health in mind; using anti flammable materials and strong straps that can carry this weight well. It has a sleeve for the oxygen to be in so it doesn't bounce around.
She is in the business to make money; anyone that is in business does so Bob...you are just jealous you didn't think of it. Sucks to be you doesnt' it Bob?
And Eric; that was a mistake on the website; she does have oxygen bags for sale. Take a look at the site now. Sorry for the inconvenience but it does happen to even the biggest companies...after all; it's the idea to sell the bags isn't it?
FYI When dealing with oxygen, "it's made of fire retardent material" does not mean it will not burn in a 100% oxygen atmosphere. In fact, some fire retards enhance the burning. I am an expert on oxygen compatibility. Also, I noticed the word Bob in your email. What is Bob?
Aol was screwing up when I wrote that. This was to go to Bob. I notice you never mentioned what the recommendations are for other oxygen carrying systems. Busy Breather LLC's bag exceeds safety requirements on all fire retardant materials; essentially making the bag more safe than the government recommendation sets.
I can recommend the Compressed Gas Association in Chantilly, VA(www.cganet.com) and ASTM G4 Oxygen Compatibility committtee for system designs in oxygen systems. They should be able to tell you who to contact related to standards/regulations related to carrying portable oxygen container materials. I do not know what regulatory agency looks after the standards for this area.
Also, I quickly looked on the web for portable oxygen cylinder bags. I see that the regulator and valve outlet is not enclosed in a container. Therefore, it is opened to the outside. The backpack contains the oxygen cylinder and may contain or hold the oxygen gas in the backpack if there is a leak from the hose or valve/cylinder components. In the backpack, other materials may be stored by the user inside the backpack that may not be compatible with oxygen even if the backpack materials was compatible.
I know that this backpack was designed to help people. I am also trying to do the same by asking about the risk assessment. Oxygen compatibility events are rare since associations have been developing standards for materials usage.
Good effort.
Brace; I don't know what you are thinking but this is not just a backpack. It has a lot of things that a backpack doesn't such as the grommet hole for the oxygen tubing. And it does work as a backpack if you get off oxygen. There is no compartment in a regular backpack that will hold the tank steady; a very big concern when you are carrying something like this; and it's made of fire retardent material; something I know is not a part of regular backpacks.
Wow! I'm a pediatrician, and I know the cheap bags the oxygen companies give you can rip and have heavy tanks fall on little heads. The window to view the gauges is brilliant. Every NICU nurse and home health coordinator needs to know about you. Fantastic to have brought a real product to market this quickly, fast idea to turn-around time. Well done!
I am the Mom that invented the Busy Breather Backpack. I wasn't going to comment but feel that I need to for those of you to truly understand my product and my mission. For those of you that wrote negative comments...everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Freedom of Speech right? If anyone has visited my website www.busybreathersllc.com you will see why I designed my product. It is to help others that either have a child on oxygen or on oxygen themselves. I don't provide the oxygen I just provide the backpack. I have been a vendor with my backpack with some major oxygen companies since December 2008.
The reason I started my company, I had a baby that was born early that required being on oxygen for almost 2 years. I'm not here to bash any other bags or companies but the bag we had wasn't very practical, hence why I designed my product. Of course I want to make money with my product but more importantly I also want to help others. I work very long and tedious hours on my business because I know I am making a difference, one bag at a time. I receive emails from people that say that although my backpack is just bag it has made their lives easier and they are very thankful. I have testimonials on my website as well from people that are happy with my product.
My backpack is not for everyone, I realize that. There are many other oxygen style carrying bags out on the market, that may suit certain persons needs better. For those of you that truly know me or have bought one of my bags you know what my true intentions are. Not too make tons of money off of peoples health situations but to truly make a difference in their lives with the use of my backpack.
