Outdo the Big Guys
Big corporations often intimidate their customers with company policies, canned explanations and patronizing behavior. Companies build a better reputation when they work to address a customer’s complaint, rather than resist it. In a large organization, a staff member does not always have the opportunity to address a customer directly. An entrepreneur, on the other hand, can address a complaint head-on and build a strong relationship with that customer as a result. This helps build loyalty not only with the clients, but also with the staff, who develop pride in their company’s direct approach.
