A A AStarting your own business is a noble -- not to mention exciting, rewarding and often crazy -- undertaking. The experience is an adventure, to say the least, and no two entrepreneurial paths are exactly the same, whether they result in fame and fortune or just a few hard knocks.
There are an estimated 27 million small businesses in the United States. And 27 Million and Counting is our attempt to capture as many of these unique, only-in-America success stories as we can. The premise is simple -- we give entrepreneurs 60 seconds to share their stories, in their own words. We hope they will inspire, inform and maybe make you laugh. This is Erica's story.

Comments (Page 3 of 3)
Why all the negative comments here? At least this young lady has the courage to go out and try something she believes in. It's pretty easy to sit behind a computer and make negative comments, but it's a lot harder to go out in life and take a risk. Never once did she discriminate against a certain demographic. She simply stated that her "target" demographic is 25-44. What's the big deal? She didn't say that someone younger or older wouldn't find this site useful. And to the person commenting on her looks, let's see a picture of you and let us all disseminate it and provide our feedback. How rude and inconsiderate can you be? Absolutely embarrassing. All I see here are a lot of jealous uneducated responses. I for one find the site to be entertaining and am sure it has taken a lot of hard work, sweat and tears to create what she has. Go Erica! Good for you in carrying on the tradition of the American dream by following your heart and creating something rather than living off the creation of others!
Hey everyone! I appreciate the support some of you have given me. You're right that they don't give us much time to give detailed information on the company or provide bios, backgrounders, or links, so for those of you interested in learning more please visit: http://www.seejanefly.com/about/about-us. You'll find that we aren't trying to single anyone out, we simply want to make travel fun and accessible. Picking a target audience and a gender allows us to focus our attention on a group that has voiced their need for our approach to travel guides. Nothing more, nothing less. If anyone wants to reach me directly please feel free to email at info@seejanefly.com.
Elevator resumes don't do a thing for me. I watched this blurb twice; what does she ACTUALLY do? Sounds like a glorified travel service to me.
I hear this website is great for last minute domestic and international travel. Haven't used them yet but all my friends have and rant and rave about them. (www.millenniumtravelonline.com)
My goodness that's a handsome woman.
I checked out the site and I think it's awesome. I wish I had known about See Jane Fly when I was making my summer vacation plans. I did all my research online but it was overwhelming -- I had to check so many different sites and I didn't feel like I could trust any of them. And then when I bought a travel guide, it was already outdated. I am glad the media is getting the hint that the public wants travel resources like this! I really like the vibe and feeling of the site, and great info too. Great job Erica and See Jane Fly!
I really like the site-- there are tons of great tips, perfect for women on the go. The site would probably appeal to the age bracket Erica mentioned, but it's definitely not exclusive!
It is great to see that someone is promoting women entrepreneurs who have the courage to start and run a business. It is a learning and growing process for any entrepreneur and I think Erica should be applauded for her efforts. Maybe constructive criticism rather than negative put downs would give her ideas on how she could improve her biz. I have recently started a business www.totallyacceptable.com and am constantly learning everyday. Every successful entrepreneur had to start at the beginning.
