in 2010, $5,000 is a lot less money than when this guy was 23. Don't post these kinds of headlines, they're just cruelly stupid.
While most are BS,not all are. I have been a full time (on payroll) medical transcriptionist for years and have also done transcription for other business meetings, etc. There are less such jobs available but every now and then one of them really is a keeper. People need to use their gut instincts, to find out about the company and to get offers/pay information in writing!

I have my own business too. I'm going bankrupt though because the
industry I have worked in Architecture now out sources my job to
China and India. Yes, even the people I helped become wealthy have
completely turned their backs on me.

PS: Most of the so-called job opportunities or ones that help you find rich hottie mates (in case your gut instincts are failing) ARE BS, including the ones posted here.
i lost my job almost one and a half years ago . i am a graphic artist and i pick up work here and there. i design business cards , menus, cards etc and i am also a mural artist. i can't find full-time work and really need a job. it is two bad this world is against people who have any kind of disabilities. i have a slight eye problem and therefore can't get beyond interview. having two college degrees and having been on the deans list throughout college doesn't help. i am trying to start my own business in the graphic design business and it is hard , but i haven't given up yet. i had to move back home. now my goal is to go back to school for something in the medical field,at least this may get me a job.

Fishenden, you should *never* give up on your dreams. You might try marketing your products online, either from your own domain or from a site like Zazzle or Etsy that lets you showcase your work without an upfront cost. Another consideration is to get out there by word of mouth by applying to large art/craft groups like Sugarloaf Mountain that run fairs up and down the East Coast. I do a lot of hiring for my company store (sorry, grocery, not art) and your eye problem should not be an issue at an interview as you would be covered by OSHA regulations regarding equal access for disabilities, but it might be your own over awareness of your eye problem that is hobbling your ability to sell youself. Have you considered gradient glasses to give you a bit more confidence? In large part, we make our own luck. Good luck.

i wish you the best in your business ventures also. my eye problem causes head jerks of which i can not control . it is called ocular motor apraxia. so on interviews it will always happen. thanks ago . fishenden

What's up with the white woman/black man advertisements?......or the white girl/black boy advertisements?.....Advertising companies are always pairing those same gender/race mix together. These advertising companies are trying to undermine the people of this country and trying to condition people to think a certain way. I'm sick and tired of advertisers trying to make it seem like that is the norm. It's an obvious attempt to get people to change their way of thinking and to start thinking like they do.....In other words, it's a type of brainwashing and unfortunately there are too many idiots today including our young children that follow what the media sublimally throws out at them. It's time the people of America wake up and see how the media is controlling them to stop thinking for themselves. My wife and I spent $10,000 on a "at home" business 15 years ago, we made a little bit of money but nothing compared to what we invested. Within 3 years the company we purchased our business from was sued by the US Government for FCC violations and went out of business thus cutting us off from any future supplies. After that experience I don't trust anyone tryig to sell a "at home business" as that is the only way to make money, sell some sucker a "at home business".
The dream of owning your own business has not changed regardless of the times. Either a person is self motavated, focused, organized and has a product for a market has been created, it is a matter of time before you can make this business profitable. I worked off the law of numbers, opted to leave government where Jimmy Carter was Gov. of Georgia, to sell vacumn cleaners, selling 100s of them in 2 years, moving on to selling cable tv products as a distributor with a cable provider and selling millions of dollars , creating a warehouse in Tampa Fla, my dream was to own my own business and I became a distributor of a professional hair care company, Cheveux Inc from 1980 - 1997, had several salons in the 1990s, distrubing professional hair care products and teaching the technical school cosmetology classes, Had a successful book called a "Guide to Success Only your hairdresser knows" that was required reading the days I promoted it, in 20 techincal schools, part of the actual program in 10. At the age of 45 I started thinking about what was I going to do if I hadn't paid into social sec., so I went to work for American General Life and Accident in 1997 thru 2003, going from 21th to 10th to 1st place nationally in the last three years, I was so blessed to make this taxed income for my retirement, since I became a disabled veteran of the Armed Forces, in the last draft. Just thought I could share real life, at least it was mine and I lived working very hard at traveling to many cities and states and countries to promote your idea of a product, exciting and doable again by anyone. Go for it, people, the government is not going to help you any more than a man in the moon. Lol
Peoples always face up to you when you can offer help and then back to you when you need.
Obama said in a speech to congress about a year in a half ago that if we could get internet to everyone then for each so many miles of internet it would generate 100,000 jobs thru small businesses cause if you could come up with an idea the potental was limitless on what we could do. Now I voted for him (lesser of two evils), and all so no I am not bagging on him , but what I am saying is that was just STUPID! Because since then they have been making sure everyone gets hooked up with the internet from east to west, and north to south, but has anyone noticed that their are NOTHING but scams jobs and money type things going on since then out of control!!! Some can say well it cause of the ecomomy, but I say yes that, and left with no real jobs, only internet connection ( DOT COM DIED ALONG TIME AGO) all we have left now to try are small businesses that are all turning out to be %95 SCAMS! I give that number highly because to tell the truch after 2,242 apps. and I cant count the sites I have checked out but they where all B.S! But there might be 5% that the people at unemployment tell me exsists like a fairy tale I have just yet to find one! Hell even this news add for AOL wasn't what it lead you to think it was?!?! well he made some profit that's for sure..but there are so many more of americans who worked at businesses too and after 25 years we are belly-up...a person can only blame themselves "so much" for the failures and then one has to look at other factors...however...he is one of the lucky ones.i am not...i am broke and on checks...and old...and worn out...so ...if you people wnatto contributeto my 25 million...then please..by allmeans send money to ; cheaperbird8@aol.co m...it will sure go to good use..and thankyou.
What happens if u report a comment? A bunch of the ones promoting BS sites are distasteful, but the racial one really needs to be taken off of here. I don't dare report it though, cuz I don't want any "consequences" lol.
