Thrillist Moves Into E-Commerce, Acquires JackThreads
The popular men's e-mail newsletter will now offer access to JackThreads' members-only shopping community.

A A AThrillist, a men's digital lifestyle publication with nearly 2 million subscribers, has purchased JackThreads, a members-only shopping community, for an undisclosed amount.
The move represents Thrillist's first foray into e-commerce, and the company sees access to JackThreads as another benefit to subscribing to its popular daily e-mail newsletters.
"This is a win-win for Thrillist and JackThreads, and with so much happening in the online commerce space, we feel like our timing is perfect," Ben Lerer, co-founder and CEO of Thrillist, said in a statement.
Thrillist was founded by Lerer and Adam Rich, who met at the University of Pennsylvania, in 2005, and now has 15 editions in cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
